Property Protection

We protect landscaping, decks, walkways, siding and surrounding property where required before work begins.

Roof Preparation

All necessary existing roofing materials, debris, and project waste are removed from the property and responsibly disposed of by Roofing-MTL.

Roof Deck Inspection

The roof deck is inspected after tear-off. Includes up to two (2) damaged plywood sheets if required.

Professional Installation

Installed according to manufacturer specifications and Quebec building standards.

Complete Cleanup

Property cleanup, debris removal, magnetic nail sweep and final quality inspection.

Warranty

15-year Roofing-MTL workmanship warranty plus applicable manufacturer material warranty.

Roof Deck Contingency

Why this matters

The condition of the roof deck cannot be fully confirmed until the existing roofing materials are removed.

This proposal includes up to two (2) sheets of damaged plywood decking if required.

Additional damaged decking is reviewed and approved before proceeding.

Shingle Roof Replacement

  1. Roof deck: Existing plywood is inspected and repaired or replaced where required.
  2. Drip edge: Perimeter metal directs water away from the roof edge.
  3. Ice & water shield: Self-adhered protection at vulnerable locations such as eaves, valleys, walls and penetrations.
  4. Synthetic underlayment: A secondary water-shedding layer over the roof deck.
  5. Starter shingles: Installed along eaves and rakes to secure and seal the first course.
  6. Architectural shingles: The primary finished roofing surface.
  7. Ridge shingles and ventilation: Ridge finishing and roof ventilation are installed where specified.

Membrane Roof Replacement

  1. Roof deck: The structural deck is inspected and repaired or replaced where required.
  2. Vapour barrier or attachment layer: Included where required by the selected assembly.
  3. Insulation or tapered insulation: Added where specified for thermal performance or improved drainage.
  4. Cover board: Provides a stable, durable substrate where included in the system.
  5. Base layer: Base sheet, primer, adhesive or system-specific attachment layer.
  6. Finished membrane: SBS cap sheet, EPDM, TPO or PVC membrane according to the approved system.
  7. Flashings and drainage details: Perimeters, walls, penetrations, drains and scuppers are integrated into the membrane system.

Membrane assemblies vary by manufacturer, membrane type and building conditions. The proposal specifications identify the system selected for the project.
